Product Description |
| Skinomi TechSkin goes beyond traditional screen protectors, skins, covers, and cases. This cell phone protector is made from clear thermoplastic urethane film - the same film used to protect military aircrafts and NASA space shuttles. It has the ability to resist high levels of abrasion, making it the ultimate protector for gadgets and devices. The film "scratch-proofs" your device without adding bulk like traditional cases. Skinomi TechSkin is designed to provide lifetime protection for your device. If the film ever wears or scratches, Skinomi will replace it for free, for as long as you need it for your device. If you ever need to remove the TechSkin, it peels off easily leaving no residues unlike other screen protectors or skins. |

| This product seems to protect my phone very well. It is a little difficult to apply. You just have to take your time, and make sure there is no dirt. I got a little lint under one of the panels, but it's not that noticeable. I highly recommend this to protect your phone from scratches. |
Fantastic!

| Great product. Plain and simple. It seemed a little complicated and dangerous for my device (You must spray each piece with a water-like solution before applying) but after I put the first piece on, it was a breeze. It's made from some sort of polymer they found on crashed flying saucers in Roswell and is pretty much impervious to damage; I can't seem to find anything that will scratch it. The only one draw back I can find with this system is that if you don't have a totally dust free room to apply it in, you're going to get little greyish specks under the skin... it's not enough to dissuade me from using one again, I'll just have to do it somewhere other than my bat cave. Rock on London. Keep it sleazy. |
great product, needs patience

The skin is really good, as it covers all the areas and curves of N97. It also gives a good look to the phone and protects the screen from scratches that can come due to the touch screen usage.
The only trouble is to figure out which of the smaller parts go to which portion of the phone, and believe me it does take quite some time to figure it out correctly. You need to take some time and apply the skin properly.
Overall good product. It would really help if Skinomi starts providing the details for different parts for the specific phone areas, so that its easier and quicker to use it.

This probably is the best product out there for cellphone protection. Just simple turn phone off, and remove the battery. Use the liquid solution, on the product, and place it gently on the phone. The water bubble as long you follow the guide...
It is so clear on my phone, and I am happy to buy it. No scratches on the phone... |

The Skinomi Shield is a highly recommended product, which to me comes at a very reasonable price. I know if you search out there, you're going to find cheaper covers, but they strike me as that peelable sylophane thing that you get when you first buy the phone. Let's face it, when you pay $700 for a phone, $15, is no biggie to keep it safe.
What I love about the shield is the fact that it completely covers the phone, not just the screen and the back. You get to also protect the metallic part and the plastic part. The main most important piece which protects the screen doesn't actually just protect the screen, but it also improves the grip of your fingers and as such improves the touch aspect of the phone. (And just in case anyone doesn't know this, the screen of the N97 is resistive, not capacitive so covering it will not stop it from working).
The downside of this product is that it comes with very basic instructions and the cover pieces are not that obvious as to what goes where. It took quite some time staring at the pieces to figure out which piece goes where and which ones go up and the ones that go down. It turned out that the thinnest pieces cover the metallic frame (I have the white N97) while the thicker ones cover the plastic. Also the thinner pieces are supposed to be put in an alternating way; so there are four pieces to cover the metal from up, right, down, left; if up and down are stuck facing the upper side, then left and right pieces need to be stuck facing the down side because all four pieces have side extensions and this way the whole phone gets covered. (I guess I didn't explain well, but if you read this when you get the product you'll get me a bit more.)
All in all fantastic product. Since I covered my phone up, I don't worry about it, and it's obvious that the shield is strong and highly durable. So highly recommended. |
