I have owned this for about a month and use it every day. It is made of sturdy plastic that feels slightly rubberized. The inside surface that faces the keyboard and display of the BB is a velvet like material that protects the BB. The clip is so easy to release that I hardly think of it when I grab my phone or return it to the holder. It also holds the phone securely. The belt clip rotates and seems to be designed such that it will not break off (like previous phone holders of mine have broken). The clip is a bit hard to rotate, but I find I keep it in mostly one position.
I highly recommend this holder even though it is a bit more expensive than others. -- Well designed using good materials
forget about the case that it comes with - this case will make the whole package slimmer and less obtrusive against the hips. retrieval of th blackberry is much faster than the case it comes with. great product, well made and you just cant find this one on the high street. Good price and we paid an extra $2 for speedier delivery and within 3 business days it was delivered. very happy. -- makes the blackbery feel smaller against the hip
