The only reason I did not give this product 5 stars is that it may possibly make the phone hotter (not allow it to cool properly) after using the phone for a long period of time AND it does not come with a protective cover for the screen. You have to buy it separately. Otherwise I have no complaints about this cover. It perfectly fits the phone, having all the buttons accessible. It is a comfortable case to hold, not too clingy but not too slick. It has been very good to protect the phone on the few times I've dropped the phone. It is also very durable, never having any tears or nicks/scratches. It is also not bulky so you do not feel like your phone is enormous with it on. You cannot use it though if you are wanting to put your phone in the harness for navigation. It is very easy to take off and put on though, so this is not really a problem. -- Very good protection; durable; not bulky

Did expect it to be a little more robust coming from Otter Box. A little flimsy at the sides, but overall a great fit and makes the phone look better. 5800's are pretty ugly! Would have liked some other color choices. I searched a ton of options and this appeared to be the best one. -- Nice case

I've tried a few different Silicone skin cases, and while they did make this slippery phone more grippy and protect it from bumps and scratches, they were all quite loose fitting and "cheap" looking.

This Otterbox case fits remarkably well and looks great. It actually looks like part of the phone when installed and gives the phone a ruggedized look. The case consist of 2 parts, a soft Silicone skin that wraps around the phone, and a plastic shell that snaps over the skin covering only the back, parts of the sides and part of the bottom of the phone.

The shell solves the loose fit of the Silicone skin holding it in place firmly. The 2 parts are molded to fit together nearly seamlessly and really do not look like a separate case once installed. The plastic shell has a texture for grip, but it's still more slippery than just a Silicone skin. However, it is more grippy than the stock phone (which is quite slippery on its own), so it should help prevent drops, and offer protection it you do drop it.

I see a lot of reviews complaining about the price. It is quite an expensive case, but the quality is great, so if you don't mind spending a little extra for high quality then this case should be on your short list. The case also includes a screen protector which adds to the value, so keep that in mind. -- Almost perfect!

The OtterBox Commuter is a great case for the 5800XM. The 5800 has a plastic body which is prone to some movement/squeeking over time...with the Commuter my one year old phone is much sturdier. In fact, it feels more solid in the hand than when new, without a lot of additional bulk either. The Commuter is well contoured, with access to the side lock and covers to camera and volume rocker all professionally finished. Bottom line...it's engineered so well that it does feel like it was meant to be part of the Nokia 5800xm. I've tried other plain silicon cases...the OtterBox Commuter may be a little more money but if you own a 5800...this is a must have item. -- Satisfied Customer
